Colinas Verdes is a residential urbanización in the Sabana Llana Sur barrio of San Juan, Puerto Rico, about seven kilometres south-east of the city centre and reached from Carretera 849. Laid out on a hillside above the Santo Domingo sector and built out from the mid-1970s, it comprises 247 recorded properties across 245 parcels on a grid of numbered streets, with lettered blocks running from A through H. It is a gated community, and a community open space at the south-western edge holds the neighbourhood park and basketball court. The Puerto Rico State Elections Commission records the community and its later extension as a single unit, Urbanización y Extensión Colinas Verdes, in electoral unit 16 of the barrio, and this report covers both together. Colinas Verdes adjoins Urbanización La Vista to the east and the Barriada and Caserío Santo Domingo to the west; an unrelated community of the same name lies about 100 kilometres away in San Sebastián.
